A Church Adventure: week 23
This week we traveled to the North and visited a Church of God on Main Street. This is the church I attended regularly as a teen, in the youth group and on Sundays with my parents. The building has not changed much, but I only saw a few people I recognized. During this adventure, I have noticed a few things are the same no matter what church you attend. Summer = Skeleton crew. This church even made mention that they were short a few musicians. The music was rocky to start but by the middle of the first song, it sounded great, and the lead singer did a guitar solo for the offertory that was simply amazing. They shared some testimony on a recent missions trip that a group had attended, which was inspiring. The pastor’s message was good, but a little dry. We enjoyed our visit and look forward to this next week in our adventure, we will be visiting a local church where a Pastor from our past is preaching. It will be nice to hear a message through him once again.
