Random: Time Flies when you???

 
Brenda and I were talking a few months ago, posting all of these photos from the archive in this years Project 365, has really brought back some memories of the girls that seem like they happened just yesterday. Time really does fly, we were calculating how many years I have been out of the “work force”.  I had a hard time believing that it has been almost eight years since, I took the best job I could ever have, as a stay at home dad. I knew what I was getting myself into. Sure I imagined we would spend lots of time out and about, at the playground, maybe even the pool. I also knew that it would be a ton of work as well. Little did I know, this would be the most challenging and rewarding job I had ever taken. Time has flown these past seven years while I have been a stay at home dad.
When I am asked what I do for a living, I state that I am stay at home dad, I usually get asked “Are you out of work???” I kindly reply, “No, we made this decision almost eight years ago, willingly.” Most men, look at me like I’m speaking a different language and are probably thinking “Why???”. Most women will say “That’s great!” but I bet they walk away thinking “Their house is probably messy and laundry is piled up to the ceiling.” Neither is the case, but it’s all good, I don’t really care what people think, Brenda and I are comfortable with the choices we have made, but more over we are thankful to God for the many opportunities he has provided us and the grace he has shown us. With out Him this all would be for not…
So her I am taking my hat off to any stay at home/single parent. This has been such an awesome opportunity, to bond with my girls and provide for my family. I would not know how I would do it without the strength from my loving wife, Brenda and God.
If I had to do this all over. I would do it again and again and again. I love my family!! Thank You God!!
